How to create and share custom Genshin character challenges

Custom mode transforms you from player to puzzle creator. Instead of solving randomly generated challenges, you select any Vision bearer from the Genshin Impact roster and create a personalized guessing game to share with friends, family, or your community.

Begin by choosing your mystery character. Use the search field to type a character name, or click the avatar button to browse through the visual gallery. Once you've selected a character—whether it's your favorite 5★ main DPS, an obscure 4★ support, or a launch day legend—a "Copy link" button will appear. This generates a unique, encrypted link containing your chosen character as the puzzle answer.

Share your link through any communication platform: Discord servers, WhatsApp groups, Twitter/X, Reddit, email, or direct messages. When recipients click your link, they'll see the standard Genshindle game interface where they must identify the character you selected. They receive the same color-coded feedback system used in other modes—green for correct attributes, red for incorrect, orange for partial matches—but the mystery character is the one you specifically chose.

This feature enables creative social interactions: challenge friends with characters they love (or hate!), test their knowledge of element-weapon combinations, or create themed puzzles around specific regions or rarities. Each link remains active for 24 hours, balancing convenience with security and keeping the experience fresh.

Pick any playable character from the entire roster—whether it's a launch day legend like Venti, a recent banner addition, or even that one character your friend has been trying to pull for months. Once you've selected your character, the system generates a secure, shareable link. When someone opens your link, they'll play the standard guessing game, but the answer will be the character you specifically chose. They get the same color-coded feedback system (green for correct attributes, red for wrong, orange for close matches) used in Daily and Unlimited modes, creating a consistent experience while letting you customize the challenge difficulty. Links automatically expire after 24 hours—perfect for keeping things fresh while maintaining security.

How to Create and Share Your Challenge

Creating your custom challenge is quick and easy—faster than waiting for resin to regenerate!
