How to play Steamdle daily challenge

Welcome to Royadle! Every day at midnight EST, a new mystery Clash Royale card is randomly selected for you to guess.

Start by typing any card name in the search box at the top of the screen. You can make unlimited guesses until you solve today's puzzle. Each guess will reveal valuable clues about the mystery card's attributes, helping you narrow down the possibilities.

The challenge resets daily, so make sure to check back every day for a fresh Royadle puzzle to solve!

Understanding Color Feedback

Color feedback system for Steamdle

After each guess, you'll see color-coded feedback comparing your guessed card's attributes with the mystery card across seven categories: Gender, Rarity, Elixir Cost, Type, Attack Type, Arena, and Release Date.

Green indicates a perfect match - that attribute is exactly correct. Red means your guess is wrong for that category. Orange suggests a partial match or that you're close to the correct answer (for example, if the attack type is partially correct or if values are close but not exact).

Use this color-coded system strategically to eliminate incorrect cards and focus on possibilities that match the green and orange indicators.

Browse Cards by Avatar

Not sure about a card's name? Don't worry! Click the golden "Avatar" button located next to the search box to open a visual gallery of all available Clash Royale card avatars.

Browse through the card collection by scrolling through the images. When you find a card that matches what you're thinking of, simply click on its avatar to select it as your guess. This visual browsing feature makes it easy to find cards even if you can't remember their exact names or if you're exploring the Clash Royale card collection for the first time.

What Is Steamdle Daily?

Steamdle Daily is a lightweight but surprisingly deep guessing game for people who love browsing PC games. Every day at reset, Steamdle quietly selects one title from a curated pool and hides everything that usually gives it away: no store banner text, no big title, no marketing copy. Instead, you only see the “bones” of the game—its release year, a trimmed list of genres and categories, whether it is free to play, and a few other structured traits. Your job is to read those signals and work backwards to the only game that fits. It feels a bit like scrolling through a store page where all the names have been removed, relying purely on your memory of which studios make what, which genres peaked in which years, and which cult classics were secretly free. Whether you own hundreds of games or are just discovering PC gaming, Steamdle Daily turns all that background knowledge into a short daily puzzle.

How to Play Steamdle Daily

  • 1
Each day (based on EST) Steamdle Daily selects a single mystery game. Everyone in the world is trying to guess this same game, which makes it easy to compare attempts with friends.
  • 2
Start by typing any PC game you know into the search box. The autocomplete is powered by the Steamdle dataset and helps you quickly find valid titles without worrying about exact spelling.
  • 3
After you lock in a guess, Steamdle compares your choice to the hidden game across several attributes: release year, genres, categories, and whether it is free to play. Those comparisons are then shown in a compact results row.
  • 4
Color feedback is the heart of Steamdle: green cells mean that attribute matches perfectly, red means it clearly does not, and orange indicates a partial or “close” match that nudges you toward the right direction.
  • 5
Use those Steamdle hints strategically. You might first narrow the space by broad genres (Action, Strategy, RPG), then filter by year and free‑to‑play status until just a handful of candidates make sense.
  • 6
There is no hard guess limit in Steamdle Daily—you are free to think aloud with the keyboard, try bold ideas, and refine your mental picture of the mystery game at your own pace.
  • 7
Once you finally crack the answer, you can copy your Steamdle result as a spoiler‑free grid of colored tiles and attempt count, then share it on social media, Discord servers, or with a couple of equally obsessed friends.

Game Rules for Steamdle Daily

  • There is exactly one Steamdle puzzle per calendar day. All players share the same solution but solve it independently on their own devices.
  • All attributes used in Steamdle—release year, genres, categories and free‑to‑play status—come from public store metadata that has been cleaned and normalized for consistency.
  • Some games in the dataset are missing certain fields; these appear as N/A in the Steamdle grid. Missing data never penalizes you and simply means you should lean more on the other attributes.
  • Your current Steamdle progress is stored locally in the browser. If you close the tab mid‑puzzle and come back later the same day, your previous guesses will still be there.
  • At the start of a new day, Steamdle reveals yesterday’s answer so you can review your reasoning, discover new games, and slowly build a stronger mental map of the PC landscape.

Why Players Keep Coming Back to Steamdle

  • Steamdle encourages you to look at games through data instead of marketing. You start to recognize patterns like “2015 indie survival hits” or “co‑op shooters from this one studio”, which makes your knowledge feel more structured.
  • Because Steamdle focuses on metadata rather than screenshots or story blurbs, it works equally well on mobile and desktop, and it respects players who already know a lot about catalog history.
  • If you already enjoy scrolling through store pages, reading tags and checking which developers worked on what, Steamdle Daily turns that habit into a focused puzzle instead of idle browsing.
  • A single round of Steamdle usually takes just a few minutes, making it perfect for quick breaks between downloads, matches or work sessions—a small daily ritual that feels both fun and a little bit nerdy.
  • Most importantly, Steamdle creates a shared language among players: you and your friends may all arrive at the solution in different ways, comparing how many guesses you needed and which clues you leaned on the most.
